Peggy Franssen graduated from the University of Maastricht in 1996 with her Master of Law degree and was admitted to the Dutch bar in 1999. She began her career as an attorney in immigration law at the Everaert Advocaten law firm in Amsterdam. On 1 December 2013 she founded Franssen Advocaten, a niche law firm specialized in immigration law and (international) family law.
Her primary focus is family law, mainly international cases. She is specialized in international divorce law, paternity and adoption law. Her clients are mainly expats living in the Netherlands or international couples dealing with family law and immigration law. Years of experience with international cases enables her to quickly assess your legal position and guide you in an adequate and professional manner.
Peggy is a member of the vFAS (Dutch Association of Family Lawyers and Divorce mediators) and has completed a vFAS post-academic specialisation in International Private Law.
Besides being an attorney Peggy is also active as a divorce mediator, and can assist her clients in English or Dutch.
Peggy can also assist her clients remotely if they are not currently residing in the Netherlands, using conferencing apps such as Skype or Zoom.
